In our modern laboratory we not only research new products and improvements, but we also carry out daily quality controls on existing Bekina BeSealed products, thus guaranteeing the best quality.

Test method: the swelling test
One of the most important tests we perform in our laboratory is the swelling test. This test is performed on each production lot. It plays a crucial role in the quality control of our products, ensuring that we consistently deliver high quality materials.
How does it work? We immerse a sample in demineralized, salt or concrete water (depending on the application) for several days and record the water uptake gravimetrically every day. By measuring water absorption, we can predict how the material will respond to humid environments and is therefore a measure of the expansion volumes of the material. All our production batches are systematically measured and approved before they are released for delivery. In addition, each product has its own predetermined specifications (defined by the customer) that the product must meet.
