London calling: Tideway project
As you know, our BeSealed products were developed for waterproofing concrete structures. One such example of a concrete structure in need of waterproofing is the Thames Tideway tunnel.
London relies on a 150-year-old sewerage system built for a population less than half its current size. The result is that millions of tonnes of untreated wastewater ends up in the River Thames every year. This is what the Tideway project hopes to tackle. Tideway is building a ‘super sewer’ under the Thames to capture these discharges and clean up the river for the benefit of the city, nature and people.
BeSealed is doing everything it can to have our products included in the specifications of the tender. In concrete terms, this means close contact with the architects of this project.
