In Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, the metro network has been expanded with a third line. To make a third line possible, no fewer than 12 new metro stations were built. Sofia’s third metro line is designed to connect key parts of the metropolitan area, making them more accessible and offering travellers a fast and efficient way to get around. 

The project managers were looking for a partner who could protect the metro tunnels against possible water infiltration. They opted for the well-known swellable strips Bentobar+ from Bekina BeSealed to protect the metro tunnels against water infiltration. To mount the swellable strips, Bekina BeSealed installation mesh was used.
